2014 World Electronics Brand Show

I watched 2014 World Electronics Brand Show held in COEX.

In the show, there were a variety of home appliances manufactured by big brands, like Samsung and LG, and by small and medium businesses with excellent technologies. Some products drew more attention because brilliant ideas were applied to them.

Generally, although the participation scale of LG and Samsung was small in this show, compared to other shows, myriads of interesting and unique products made by small and medium businesses were displayed.

Diverse designer-products of K-Design

The products were ones branded with Korean excellent designer-products by Korea Institute of Design Promotion. They were charming and had great designs.

Applemint's various cellphone cases

Applemint displayed sensually and functionally designed cases for iPhone5, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Note3.

The product is very slim and has outstandingly strong sound.

Review - Second review, OneKey High End Audio Grade PC-Fi SATA Cable MK II

Getting right to the point, the first impression I had after an upgrade to OneKey SATA cable is “A feeling that blurred car windows full of dusts after rain and snow are cleaned by spraying the wash solution and cleansing with wipers.”

I could tell that the sound of instrument and voice became definitely clearer.

Regardless of the fact that space for audio is small, the sound which spread widely in the past centered to the middle creating a presence of stage.

Also, even when lowering the volume of audio compared to the past, I could hear the sound better.

I am excited how the first impression after the new installment would change over the passage of time.

2013 is a year when the material of audio system was changed to aluminum metal.

Although there was definite enhancement in sound, I felt that the sound was somewhat unclear.

Base was unsatisfactory ….

I was concerned whether I should switch pre-amp or not.

Then, I heard about the group purchase of SATA cable.

Since there was a controversy on SATA cable in other clubs, it was difficult to decide.

As the reviews on other users were great, I come to participate in this group purchase.

After a thoughtful consideration on what to change, I decided to change all SATA cables in NAS and network player.

Although it would be better to sense the difference by changing them one by one, I decided to change them at once as the weight of NAS and network player are not light and it is burdensome to tear off the package several times.

After participating in the group purchase, I received the product directly from the manager while on the business trip to Seoul with a desire to try them as soon as possible.

I picked up the product myself as it would be caught in turmoil of holiday season if I were to receive it via parcel service.

Even a bag where the cables came in was great.  

I started to work on it today as I arrived at home late at night.

First, I opened the top plate of NAS.

Then, the cable was arranged as below.

I replaced the cable.

Black for hardware and purple for SATA ROM

As it is winter, thermal contract cable at the end of cable seemed to be stiff and it was difficult to jam it into NAS. Take caution!

I also replaced the network player after installing NAS cable.

I thought I took a photo of installing the network player cable but I must have forgotten about it.

Although I have been listening to the music for a while, I do not have a keen knowledge on music as I have not studied about it.

Thus, I mainly listen to pieces of music familiar to my ears.

I don’t know whether or not it is because of small system but

I am accustomed to listening to sonatas or concertos rather than big orchestral works.

Most of the works is by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, and Brahms.

After the new installation of the cable, I have listened to whichever music that comes in my mind.

I cannot list them as I don’t know the title and others of all pieces of music.

I have listened to ‘A letter by a private’ and ‘When around 30 years old’ in an album called ‘Sing again the songs by Gwangseok Kim’.

The voice of Gwangseok Kim and acoustic guitar sound became much clearer than before and it boasted outstanding presence of stage. 

The sound of piano became better, the sound of violin became better, and sounds of all the other things as well.

If there is an acquaintance who has participated in this group purchase, I recommend you to try it.

There is a more definite change when compared to new installation of power cable or connection cable between devices.

Although there is an assertion that a cable would not have impact on digital signal but

I would like to acknowledge the difference made by the cable to certain degree as a result of comparing with general data transmission speed and error rate of 1394 table that I experienced.

I regret that I could have used more professional terms to express myself.

It would have been great only if I had studied in advance.

I usually listen to music in my workshop.

After all other co-workers get off the work at night, I darken the lighting of workshop, see the light outside the window, and listen to all kinds of music for an hour or two.

I am listening to the music even as I am writing this review.

It seems that the sound became softer compared to the beginning.

It seems that I am going to stay at the office a little longer.

Or I might pull an all-nighter.

I am curious to hear about the impression of others.
